Giancarlo Starinieri, DDS
Dr. Starinieri was born in Florence, Italy, and immigrated with his family to Los Angeles when he was a small child. He had a very successful career in competitive running. Giancarlo started competing as a middle-distance runner in High School and excelled. He competed in college as a middle-distance runner and made “All American” at the NCAA National Championships. Through years of practice and pounding the pavement, Dr. Starinieri qualified for the Olympic Trials in the Marathon in 1984. His running career took a break when he got accepted to dental school. He attended University of the Pacific in San Francisco and graduated with his DDS degree in 1989. He has been practicing dentistry in the South Bay for 31 years. Dr. Starinieri became certified in Dental Implants from UCLA in 1993 and has successfully completed hundreds of implant procedures. In his spare time, he enjoys basketball, tennis, cycling, and outdoor activities.
Gail Laxineta, RDH
Gail has been a dental hygienist for 35 years. She knew from the age of 16 that she would be in the dental field. Her father is a retired dentist from the South Bay and working in his office as a teenager motivated her to pursue dental hygiene. Gail graduated from Cal State Northridge with a Health Science degree and then in 1985, graduated from Cabrillo College Dental Hygiene School in Santa Cruz County. Gail enjoys educating her patients on maintaining their dental health as well as the rapport she makes with her patients. When she’s not in the office, Gail enjoys playing tennis, snow skiing, hiking, and biking.
Nick Starinieri
Nick has worked in the dental office in the capacity of front and back office. He is also a licensed real estate agent. Nick has tremendous technical skills which are extremely helpful with his computer skills. Nick enjoys cooking, basketball, tennis, and traveling. Nick was also a dual-sport varsity college athlete and has his college degree in Environmental Health.
